Malaya Corporate at the Sales Mission to Taiwan 2026
On 23 April 2026, Malaya Corporate joined Tourism Malaysia’s Sales Mission to Taiwan 2026 at the Taipei Marriott Hotel. The mission brought Malaysian industry players together with Taiwanese travel agents, partners and prospective clients under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
We joined the Malaysian delegation as a corporate solutions and relocation partner, the one-stop contact for Taiwanese clients who want to set up a business in Malaysia, relocate their families, or both. We met guests face to face and shared why Malaysia is a great place to live, invest and do business.
Why Taiwanese Families and Investors Choose Malaysia
Taiwan is a natural market for Malaysia. The two share close business and cultural ties, Mandarin is widely spoken in Malaysia, and Malaysia’s cost of living, climate and healthcare appeal to Taiwanese families and retirees.
The Taipei mission is part of our wider effort to take Malaysian corporate and MM2H services to clients across Asia. Our next stop is Malaysia Fair 2026 Tokyo, where you can find us at Booth GE 02, Toyosu Park, from 30 October to 1 November 2026.
For businesses and investors
Gateway to ASEAN. From Malaysia, you can reach Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the wider ASEAN market of over 600 million people.
Proven track record. Taiwanese companies have invested in Malaysia for decades, especially in electronics and manufacturing hubs such as Penang. You will not be the first, and the supply chain is already here.
Lower operating costs. Office space, staff and daily operations generally cost less than in Taipei or Singapore.
Familiar legal and business environment. Company law is clear, English is the language of business, and contracts and filings are straightforward.
Foreign ownership allowed. Many sectors allow foreigners to own their Malaysian company fully, subject to the rules for each industry.
Government support. Agencies such as MIDA offer incentives for qualifying investments.
For families and individuals
No language barrier. Mandarin is widely spoken, alongside English and Malay. Daily life, shopping and even government services are easy to manage.
Same time zone. Malaysia and Taiwan are both on GMT+8, and Kuala Lumpur is only about a four-and-a-half-hour flight from Taipei. Staying connected with family and business back home is easy.
Lower cost of living. Housing, food and transport cost noticeably less, so your money goes further.
Education choices. Families can choose from international schools, private schools and Chinese-medium schools.
Quality healthcare. Private hospitals offer high standards at reasonable cost, which is why Malaysia is a well-known medical tourism destination.
Comfortable lifestyle. Warm weather all year, modern cities, and familiar food and festivals make settling in easier.
Long-term stay. Through the MM2H programme, you and your family can live in Malaysia on a long-stay visa.
One partner for both business and relocation
Most of our Taiwanese clients want more than one thing: a company to run their business, and a visa so their family can join them. Malaya Corporate handles both, from incorporation and compliance to the MM2H application, so you deal with one team instead of several.
The Taipei mission is part of our wider effort to take Malaysian corporate and MM2H services to clients across Asia. Our next stop is Malaysia Fair 2026 Tokyo, where you can find us at Booth GE 02, Toyosu Park, from 30 October to 1 November 2026.
